Another brilliant good news story from our Property Auctions division this week! 👏 A selection of Bradford Council's properties have sold for a total of £1million - more than double the estimated £495,000, based on their combined guide prices. The local authority hopes to raise £100m through asset disposal, involving more than 150 buildings and plots of land. If you are applying for PSDS4 funding this year, please be aware that the Carbon Cost calculation for Phase 4 is different from the methodology used in previous phases. It is crucial to ensure you are using the correct calculation before discussing client contributions. Phase 4 Carbon Cost Calculation: Formula: Grant Value / Direct Carbon Saved (funded by the grant) Phase 3C Carbon Cost Calculation: Formula: Grant Value / Full Project Direct Carbon Saved (regardless of funding source) In Phase 4, for measures that are partially grant-funded and partially recipient-funded, the calculation now takes into account the proportions of funding. The system will automatically calculate these proportions and apply them to the carbon savings attributed to the grant. This change will impact the cost per tonne of carbon saved and, consequently, the client’s contribution to the project. If you are preparing multiple applications, it is essential to factor in these differences to accurately confirm client contributions and the final grant values. Its worth making sure you are using the correct methodology when calculating costs and grant values, as this will directly affect your application outcomes. #PSDS #PublicSectorDecarbonisationScheme #PSDS4 #DESNEZ #Decarbonisation

It was a thrill to sell this 1939 Derby Bentley at auction last week. A fantastic car at face value, we were excited to hear of its amazing role in the Peking to Paris Centenary Rally. The piece of automotive history went under the hammer for £17,400 - a great price to the motor, that has lay unused for two decades.
