We are thrilled to announce that Farleigh Hospice has become accrEDIted©! The first EDI accreditation awarded to a hospice charity and is recognition of the authentic focus and hard work of the whole organisation. Farleigh Hospice are a hospice charity providing care to people affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement. Their success in becoming accrEDIted© demonstrates their genuine commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) for their people, their patients, families and carers. CEO Sarah Green commented ”As a charity at the heart of our community we set our sights this year on demonstrating our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Achieving ‘Invested’ level accreditation recognises the work we have done so far and our commitment to improve further. The timing seems particularly fitting as we are in Black History Month and its theme this year is "Reclaiming Narratives", and Ed's work is all about Changing the Narrative. Ed Accura is the creative genius and driving force behind the groundbreaking documentary Blacks Can’t Swim. His thought-provoking first film has evolved to a series of “Changing the Narrative” documentaries and led to him becoming a Co-founder of The Black Swimming Association (BSA). His tireless drive to change the narrative and save lives, now brings him to the corporate world running inclusion programmes based on his films.
