With just a couple of days to go to our Big Give Girls & Young Women fundraiser deadline, we’re growing closer to our goal, so a massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far! According to the World Health Organisation, at least 24% of young women aged 15-19 who have been in a relationship have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner. This week at EWA we're raising funds to employ a young persons’ worker, to deliver specialist support to meet the needs of girls and young women affected by domestic abuse. As a reminder, if you do donate before midday on Thursday your donation will be matched by Big Give and so will be doubled! If you can, please help us continue our vital work by donating here: https://buff.ly/3Yow7xJ 💜 #GivingTuesday #BigGive #EndDomesticAbuse #EdinburghWomensAid #SupportingSurvivors

A question we are often asked, whether from concerned friends, family or even other professionals working alongside us, is: how do I safely support someone experiencing domestic abuse? While there’s no one-fits-all method, and at EWA we recognise the importance of a person-centred approach, here are some general principles on how to support someone who is experiencing, or at risk of, domestic abuse. If you are looking for advice, please phone us on 0131 315 8110 or email duty@edinwomensaid.co.uk. Visit our website to find more details on how to get in touch https://buff.ly/3IbWkYr
