Great to continue our 80th anniversary celebrations with our wonderful staff last weekend
About us
The Practice was established in 1944 by Edward Pearce as a Mechanical and Electrical, Lift and Public Health Engineering Consultancy. Whilst Edward Pearce’s name is still used, he is, not surprisingly, long since retired and the firm is now run by the fifth generation of Partners, all of whom have made their accession to Partner from Engineers within the Company. During our 80 years in practice our portfolio has included all aspects of MEP engineering services from Airport Facilities, Offices, Commercial, Industrial, Education, Residential, Restaurants, Ecclesiastical, Retail, Leisure, Prisons, Hospitals and Healthcare. We have been particularly active in the London Residential market over the past 30 years. During that time, we have been involved with hundreds of residential projects. Many have been refurbishments within Listed Buildings such as at Eaton Square, Grosvenor Square and Cornwall Terrace. Naturally such project require sympathy to the historic nature of the project, yet include modern day building services. Over the past decades we have developed particular skills in this field. We have dealt with many high specification single residences at a range of sizes from less than 1,000sq.ft to some 60,000sq.ft. From our offices in Surbiton, Surrey, we are ideally placed for quick access to Central London with easy routes to motorways and mainline rail for nationwide access. The Practice operates a Quality Assurance system which is accredited and audited by ISOQAR. The Practice uses a range of modern design techniques including - Revit MEP - IES - Hevacomp - Dialux - AutoCAD

A great result for our client and their residents. On behalf of Dorrington PLC we secured consent for an extensive retrofit of a Victorian Mansion Block in Hammersmith and Fulham, halving its carbon footprint and delivering an exemplar project. Demonstrating how modern technology including Solar Panels and Air Source Heat Pumps can be sensitively installed on a building in a conservation area.
