Industry Liaison - Partnership Coordination in T-Level FE for the Built Environment (Construction, Building Services Engineering)
The mantra that I drill home with our T-Level students is always that they are not just students, they are Junior professionals. After the grand opening yesterday of the Morgan Sindall Academy in partnership with EKC Group I can *finally* post the wonderful makeover to our T-Level classrooms! 🤩 My T-Level Colleagues, our junior professionals and myself have been absolutely blown away by the transformation! A fresh, inspiring environment in which they can forge the foundation of their careers. T-Block now slaying in salmon with a side of inspiration for our talented young cohort ⭐️ We are looking forward to working with Morgan Sindall Construction and dipping into their vast pool of knowledge and resources via the Knowledge Quad, further enriching the experience and skills of these Design, Surveying and Planning students. Very exciting times ahead for our wider partnership and the benefits it will bring to our students and local communities. This is what technical education is all about - business and education working together to inspire and prepare the next generation. Well what a day that was! The Morgan Sindall Academy had its official opening today at EKC Canterbury College! Joined by Guy Hannell and representatives from Morgan Sindall Construction, alongside Paul Sayers and EKC Group, we had a full on morning of signing, filming and touring! Huge thanks to everyone who spoke to us so enthusiastically about the collaboration between contractor and education provider; the enrichment and exposure this gives to T-Level students is vital in recruiting more youngsters to the construction industry. Really exciting things to come… Steve Paine MCIOB | Bryn Parker | Louis Whittington MCIOB | Paul Jennings | Riley Evans | Jamie Weir | Andy Hayes | Marie Donnarumma

Future engineers have been collaborating with Severn Trent, one of the UK’s leading water companies, on a specialist project. Benjamin, Johnny and Jayden, studying the T Level in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing, were tasked with designing a 3D model of a new water treatment plant. The project will be unveiled at the Kent Construction EXPO on Thursday 3 October, where all three will be eager to see their work in action.
