UK Electrical Wholesaler with 118 branches all delivering a better, brighter service to our trade customers.
About us
Electric Center was formed back in October 2006 following the merger of AC Electrical and William Wilson electrical branches. Since then we have expanded our branch network and developed new branches throughout the UK to offer our customers a better, brighter service from over 110 branches nationwide. Electric Center seeks to bring a new approach to customer service in the world of electrical wholesaling harnessing the power of our local branch network, expertise and relationships with suppliers. Our aim is quite simple – to become the first choice wholesaler for our customers whatever their requirements, large or small. That is why we have made three simple but powerful promises which will guide our business into the future: We are committed to understanding your business, we aim to make our customers lives simple and finally we deliver on our promises.

A huge congratulations to Elly and Joe!!! 🎉 On Thursday morning, Elly Burnard and Joe Gibson completed their 5895m climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro! After 4 gruelling days, their climb ended with a 9hr stint through the night to reach what must have felt like the top of the world! ‘We made it! The trickiest thing we have both ever done! Walking through the night in -13 degrees, sunrise recharged the batteries, and we got to the top!’ – Elly We couldn’t be prouder of them for accomplishing this incredible achievement. We would also like to express our gratitude to Elly and Joe for allowing us to be apart of this once in a lifetime experience, whilst raising money for the EIC. Well Done Elly and Joe! We hope you are getting a well-deserved rest. 👏👏👏

Congratulations to the 8 SkillELECTRIC finalists! You have all showcased exceptional skills. We wish you all the best of luck in the final! 👏
The eight SkillELECTRIC competitors who scored most highly across the recent national qualifying heats have been named: Top Row L-R 🌟 Charlie Moore – Bramham Electrical Ltd / College of West Anglia 🌟 Fabian Maciejewski – a completed T Level Learner at Leicester College 🌟 Joe Swallow – M&C Engineering / Suffolk New College 🌟 John-Ross Campbell – A CAMPBELL ELECTRICAL SERVICES LTD / SECTT Bottom Row L-R 🌟 Jonathan Gough – MD Electrics / Southern Regional College 🌟 Kalum Low – MS Electrical and Renewables / SECTT 🌟 Milly Smith – CS McKerlie Electrical Services / SECTT 🌟 Richard Westwood – Dudley College All have now been invited to take part in the SkillELECTRIC UK Final being held at Oldham College across the week of 18th November. SkillELECTRIC, the annual search for the UK’s best student electrician, is part of the WorldSkills UK competition framework. The event is organised by industry charity National Electrotechnical Training (NET), has Electric Center, the NICEIC and Scolmore International Limited as its delivery partners and is supported by Megger, EAL Awards, Snickers Workwear and Carl Kammerling International Ltd (CK Tools). Alongside SkillELECTRIC, around 50 other WorldSkills national competition finals will be taking place that week across nine venues around Greater Manchester, involving over 400 competitors. To be crowned SkillELECTRIC champion, competitors will have to excel in a complicated three-day practical installation task set to a strict timescale and against a rigorous marking criteria. Following the success of the solar PV task in last year’s final, the event this year will also include an electric vehicle charging-related task for competitors to tackle. Those who perform well enough and are age eligible could be in with a chance of representing the UK in the Electrical Installation competition at WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai, China. “After witnessing some great skills on display across our national qualifying heats, it’s great to welcome a real cross section of industry learners in this year’s final”, said Jennie Phung, SkillELECTRIC Project Manager. “From T-Levels, to apprenticeships, to mature learners and career changers, our finalist mix this year shows the varied ways you can start your journey in the electrical industry on the way to becoming qualified. We look forward to November’s event and working with our competitors between now and then to help them prepare for their UK final performance.”
