We were incredibly privileged to be invited to tour the NI (National Instruments) headquarters while in Austin for embedded world Exhibition&Conference North America. During the lab tour Robin Mitchell was blown away by some of the advanced testing equipment. We were also given an exclusive sneak peek at some exciting AI innovations NI (National Instruments) is preparing to launch—technology that’s set to make a significant impact in the market. We also got to visit the National Instruments Student Project Center at The University of Texas at Austin and we were thoroughly impressed by the facilities and opportunities available to engineering students. Seeing NI's strong involvement at the university, along with the cutting-edge technology and resources at the students' disposal, certainly made Robin Mitchell reflect on how different his own university experience was! It’s clear why so many students are inspired to pursue engineering here, and it reminded us how much more the UK can do to encourage young talent into STEM careers. A huge thank you to the NI team for your hospitality. Rudy Sengupta, Ruth Connell, Aaron Wiseman, Heather Gioco, Charles Schroeder, Kent Johnson, Stephen Dark and Alejandro Barreto.
