🏗 Market Update: The latest release of the #ICC Dispute Resolution 2023 Statistics is out and provides some noteworthy insights, related to #Turkish and #Greek disputes: - 🌍 Parties from Central and South-East Europe (277) represented close to 12% of parties worldwide, with #Türkiye remaining the most represented nationality within the region (56). -⚡ Greek law was the applicable law in 17 cases and Turkish law in 12 cases that ended up at the ICC. - 📢 45 parties (or 1.88%) of Greek origin were involved in disputes, with 14 acting as Claimants and 31 as Respondents. -  📢 56 parties (or 2.34%) of Turkish origin were involved in disputes, with 33 acting as Claimants and 23 as Respondents. - 💡 19 Greeks and 16 Turkish served as sole arbitrators, co-arbitrators, or Presidents of tribunals. - ☀ Greece was selected as the place of arbitration in 6 instances and Türkiye in 10. As always, disputes arising from the 🏗 #construction/engineering and energy sectors represented just over 45% of all new cases registered, with 219 (25.2%) and 179 new cases (20.6%) respectively.
