We are delighted to be working with Willmott Dixon to deliver this new seed extractory building for Forestry England that will produce seeds for millions of high-quality, climate-resilient trees in the decades ahead🌲 The facility will be the largest in the UK once completed in spring 2025 and will be net zero carbon in operation. We're pleased to have been appointed by Forestry England to deliver a new £14.5m project to upgrade its tree nursery near Delamare Forest in Cheshire. Procured via Procurement Hub, the project includes a new seed extractory building that will produce seeds for millions of high-quality, climate-resilient trees in the decades ahead 🌲 The facility will be the largest in the UK once completed in spring 2025 and will be net zero carbon in operation. Sharing Forestry England's passion for creating employment opportunities and skills in the local community, we will create apprenticeships and engage local students through our bespoke Green Skills Academy, combining curriculum-enhancing practical, construction-based STEM and sustainability-focussed lessons. Our team will also be leading and supporting local community projects, focussing on protecting nature and improving mental and physical wellbeing. This project follows a scheme that we completed in 2020 for Forestry England, that delivered a new timber-frame visitor welcome centre, which has improved the experience for 750,000 people who visit Delamere Forest each year. Really nice to for the team to receive a letter of thanks for our donation and volunteering time at Airedale General Hospital. We never forget how fortunate we are to be able to make a difference through our social value commitments #socialvalue
Rolling up the sleeves and getting our hands dirty was a brilliant and rewarding way to spend a couple of days renovating the Ward 5 Courtyard at Airedale General Hospital. Even more rewarding was the heart-warming letter of thanks that we received from Laura T. and the team at Airedale Hospital and Community Charity. Totally unexpected but a simple and classy way to express thanks. I am completely inspired to do the same! Well done to the various teams from Robertson Group, NG Bailey, Ellis Williams Architects and of course Shelby Kevin Keogh Marta Langton Lindsey Hegarty Fran Smith Craig Turton Ben Kent
