We’re closing the loop in the textile industry by promoting the reuse of fabrics, ensuring they serve new purposes instead of becoming waste. By giving pre-loved textiles a second life, we reduce the demand for new resources and minimize environmental harm. This process supports a more sustainable, circular economy where garments and materials are repurposed, cutting down on overproduction and reducing landfill contributions. Join us in embracing a future where textiles are reused, and nothing goes to waste. Together, we can make a significant impact on the planet.

Urgent Need for Government Intervention in the Used Textiles Industry As the CEO of ELT Global, I’ve seen firsthand the critical challenges the used textiles industry faces, many of which stem from a lack of government intervention. Our industry plays a vital role in promoting sustainability, creating jobs, and supporting economies, especially in developing markets. Yet, we continue to operate in a regulatory void that is hampering our ability to thrive. Without strong government support—in the form of policies that promote circularity, incentivize recycling, and regulate waste management—we will struggle to make the long-term impact our industry is capable of. Governments need to take action now to ensure that the potential of the used textiles market is realized and not lost in the face of economic pressures and poor regulation. It’s time for policymakers to stand up and realize the importance of our sector—not only for environmental sustainability but also for the economic and social benefits it provides. #Sustainability #TextileRecycling #GovernmentIntervention #CircularEconomy #ELTGlobal
