Did you know: ⛓️💥 91% of career breaks for childcare are taken by women (vs. 9% by men)? 🧕🏻 75% of all part-time employees are women (vs. 25% men)? 🤷🏽♂️ Men hold 65% of all management positions (vs. 35% for women)? 💥 However, new EU pay transparency legislation aims to make a real difference by: 🟢 Requiring employers to share starting salary or pay range upfront 🟢 Preventing questions about pay history 🟢 Giving employees the right to request average pay levels by gender for similar roles 🟢 Requiring companies with 250+ employees to report on their gender pay gap annually 🟢 By promoting openness and accountability, we can tackle the systemic issues around unequal pay, career breaks, part-time work, and leadership imbalances.
