Raising the Bar in Transport & Logistics Training: Why Competence Matters In the specialised world of transport and logistics, quality training and assessment can be the difference between efficiency and costly mistakes. Unfortunately, not all approaches to training uphold the standards that this high-risk sector demands. Too often, trainers with little or no practical experience are entrusted to deliver knowledge courses, the content of which they have never personally mastered. The result? The EMPI Awards SVCA (On-Road) (Tippers) is the second of our planned SQA Accreditation regulated VQs for the specialised transport and haulage sectors and assessment confers the competence of tipper drivers. The EMPI Awards Site Vehicle Competence Assessment is a ground-breaking suite of qualifications that evaluate a driver's competence and safety awareness in the specific context of the quarry, construction sites and other challenging environments. It helps identify areas for improvement and ensures drivers are well-prepared for demanding tasks. Developed in collaboration with industry experts who deeply understand tipper drivers' challenges, it ensures that your drivers receive the highest-quality training and assessment. This new VQ, which runs alongside TipperSURE© training, is a further collaboration with DEK Group NE Ltd and follows our world first SVCA (On-Road) (Mixers) VQ.
