Recently, a Tribunal has ruled in favour of a claimant, whose morning greetings to the company director were ignored, in an unfair dismissal and breach of contract claim. While not saying hello back to her did not constitute a breach of contract in itself, the tribunal found that it added to the unreasonable behaviour of the employer that pushed the claimant to quit.
