We are delighted to announce the successful handover of the recently refurbished North Ayrshire Council property in Irvine, completed by Emtec Property Services. The project involved the modernization of existing facilities, including the reconfiguration of the mezzanine and storage areas to create interview rooms for staff and client use. This transformation resulted in a bright, functional, and welcoming space for the CAMHS team. A big thank you to our supply chain for their invaluable support in developing and delivering a much-needed space that perfectly meets the needs of the end users. 🌟Emtec Group Management – Site visit to Guala Closures🌟 Charlene McGarry, Emtec Property's Construction Director, invited the Emtec Group Management team for a site visit to our flagship project at Guala Closures UK in Gartcosh. Finance Director Cathrine Sandberg, Finance Manager victoria harkness, HR Manager Debbie Lutton, and Business Support Manager Claire Gray, along with their teams, enjoyed an insightful afternoon witnessing the impressive collaboration of all Emtec companies, sub contactors and suppliers coming together on this major project. 🌟Emtec Group are supporting ScotCareersWeek24 #ShapeTheFuture 🌟 Today we are thrilled to share the inspiring career journey of Josh Martin, Managing Director of Emtec Utility Services. Josh began his career in August 2012 as a Trainee Design Engineer with Emtec Energy, where he was also supported in pursuing a Building services Engineering degree at Glasgow Caledonian University. In 2017, Josh stepped into the role of Design Engineer. His leadership skills and technical expertise quickly led to a series of promotions. In early 2020, he was invited to establish a new utilities division within his sector, where he dedicated three successful years to learning and growing the business. With six year’s experience in the utilities sector and a solid background with Emtec, Josh was recognised by Emtec Group as a potential candidate to head up a new utilities division. After discussions with Emtec Energy Director Chris Clark, about opportunities in renewable energy and infrastructure, Josh returned to Emtec in August 2023 to launch Emtec Utility Services Can you tell us about your role? "As Managing Director of Emtec utility services, I am responsible for the day to day running of the business. Being one of the newest divisions of the Emtec group, a large part of this role is strategically growing our division whilst ensuring we maintain high standards of quality and efficiency across all our projects." What do you enjoy most about working with Emtec? "For me, the thing I enjoy most is working with my team each day and watching them grow and develop into their respective positions. I am fortunate to have a great team of passionate and committed individuals and they make it a pleasure to come into work each day. I look forward to adding to this team in 2025 as we continue to grow." What have been your career highlights so far? "I think coming full circle and returning to Emtec to start a new division of the group is a personal highlight. To be identified as the best person to take on this challenge by the Emtec board was an acknowledgement of all the hard work and effort I have put into my career thus far and is something I am very proud of." Do you have any advice for those starting out in their careers? "Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you are starting out your career, use the experienced people around you to help you improve as opposed to sitting in silence. Also, take pride in all aspects of your work. Even if the task seems small and generic, give it the same respect you would any other task as these things don’t go unnoticed. Lastly, as you develop, don’t shy away from taking risks and making decisions. Although the Emtec Group covers a vast range of disciplines and sectors, I can guarantee that all these areas need decision makers to help drive our projects forward to maintain efficiency and productivity."
