Well done to the team at Qualter, Hall & Co Limited Hall for their fundraising efforts on behalf of Breast Cancer UK.   The ‘wear pink’ requirement was embraced by the entire team with special recognition going to Ivan Tibble for his perfectly pink beard.

Congratulations to the BBF Limited team who have achieved the highest BRC rating possible at both their Blackburn and Shadsworth bakeries following a rigorous audit.   Blackburn has proudly maintained their AA* grade, while Shadsworth has raised the bar by moving from last year’s A* to this impressive AA* rating.   This achievement is a testament to the continued effort, dedication, and exceptional standards upheld by our incredible teams.

Last week, team Hovis Ltd participated in the first ever GroceryAid Netball Tournament. With over 13 grocery organisations coming together to raise funds for GroceryAid,   Fuelled with sandwiches made from the new Hovis Farmhouse Batch, as part of the lunch, complemented by other great brands, the team played brilliantly!   The team then arranged for the unused loaves to be gifted to an organisation which supports homeless and vulnerable people in Coventry, meaning that 300 extra sandwiches could be made and distributed to people who really need it and importantly ensured there was no wastage!   Another example of the positive impact our teams have in the community.

This time it’s the Sheffield Business Awards where they have been shortlisted in the Medium to Large Organisation of the Year category. Well done to everyone at Realise for the continued effort and energy that goes into maintaining outstanding standards across the business. 

Nadcap is a program that awards accreditation to companies in the aerospace supply chain that meet strict requirements – and Enact portfolio company Accrofab have got 5! They include non-destructive testing, heat treatment, non-conventional machining (EDM and laser cutting), material testing, chemical processing and welding - core processes that reflect their commitment to delivering quality, precision engineered parts for the sector. 

We love to see the continued impact our portfolio companies have in the community. Earlier this month, American Golf sponsored Variety Golf's annual Rugby Legends charity event at the incredible Loch Lomond Golf Club. CEO, Nigel Oddy, teed off amongst 23 teams of rugby legends, footballers and other guests that have attended the event for the past 11 years. The event, auction, and other fundraising activities raised a staggering £355,000 which will get more Variety Golf Sunshine Coaches on the road. Sunshine Coaches are provided to schools and organisations that cater for children with special needs, allowing them to plan trips with confidence and without the worry of public transport, costs or suitability for children with disabilities.

An amazing effort from the team at Complete (an EVO company) who last week completed the Ride of EVO to raise funds for the EVO Foundation. Phil Sibson and team rode an incredible 500km in 5 days across 9 legs to and from key evo locations with the rest of the Complete teams around the country aiming to match the distance on their desk bikes. The evo Foundation was founded in October 2023, to help advance education and eradicate poverty and the money raised will have a huge impact on many lives.
