Ensemble Analytics is excited to announce our collaboration with Associated British Ports (ABP), the UK’s leading ports operator. ABP is trialling Athena, a port-specific scheduling solution, to deliver safe, fair, and efficient workforce schedules. It was a pleasure to meet Guy Opperman, the Minister for Roads and Local Transport at the Department for Transport to exhibit Ensemble's participation in the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom Freight Innovation Fund. Ensemble were invited to speak and exhibit at the Freight Innovation Cluster Anniversary where Cato Davies discussed our new partnerships and how we are driving fairer and more efficient workforce scheduling in UK ports.

We're pleased to announce Devin Graham has joined the Ensemble Analytics team as a Partner. Devin will collaborate extensively with our Product, Tech, and Founder teams, focusing on the Athena platform's successful deployment with clients. Devin has a background in Finance and has recently been consulting at a number of Fintech startups. On Monday 4th of March, the British Embassy Brussels, Port of Antwerp-Bruges and MCA (Maritime Campus Antwerp) hosted the 'UK-BE Maritime Innovation Day: Autonomous Vessels & Smart Shipping' in the Antwerp Porthouse. This event gathered the UK 🇬🇧 and Belgian 🇧🇪 Maritime ⚓ Industries focusing on Maritime Autonomous Systems for the first time. 📢 In an afternoon of collaboration, an expert panel (Diederik Wéreau, Catrien Scheers, Alexandra Beaumont and Matthew Palmer, CEng IMechE) discussed ways to move forward in the UK and BE after the signing of the MoU on Maritime Autonomous systems earlier in 2023. ✨ 10 start- and scale-ups companies (Ninety Percent of Everything (90POE), ACUA Ocean, SEAFAR, e-BO Enterprises, SeaBot Maritime, Ensemble Analytics, JET Connectivity, SEA-KIT International, HydroSurv and Lupovis) from the UK and Belgium took the stage to present their maritime innovations for the future to the public. 📢 The final session of the day (Iwona Wilk, Cédric Vermeulen, Neale Ryan and Richard Wigley) illustrated the ample support available to companies looking to scale and finance their operations in the UK. 🎤 We want to thank Erwin Verstraelen, Chris Barton CMG, Chloe Yarrien and Antoon Van Coillie for their insightful words addressing the Belgian and UK public. UK-Be Maritime Innovation Day Navigating the future of port operations requires a wave of talent equipped with new skills, amidst a landscape where skilled labor is too scarce to meet the increasingly complexed requirements for port operations. The industry must address this skill shortage head-on, enhancing role attractiveness to entice new talent into the industry. To explore these critical issues, the Maritime Innovation event will convene experts from both the UK and Belgian side. It aims to strengthen partnerships and alliances to shape policy and promote the advancement of emerging technologies.
