Our Regional Development Manager for Scotland, Stephanie Kenny, recently volunteered at Bonhill Community Gardens, an abandoned recreational parkland that's leased from West Dunbartonshire Council. The garden provides an inspiring space for local residents to share gardening ideas and grow community crops together. The organisers' aim is to sustain their off-grid approach to gardening, and teach others how to enhance their living environment by understanding about bio-diversity, harvesting rainwater, composting, and more. As you can see, Stephanie got stuck in on the day! And after speaking with others and seeing the great work that takes place at Bonhill Community Gardens first-hand, she soon understood the value in developing a shared outdoor space where people can enjoy nature and learn from each other. In case you haven’t heard, Chris Falato recently took over as our Central Regional Manager – and our team in Nottinghamshire has gone from strength to strength since he transitioned into his new role! As Deputy, Chris was the natural choice for the position, and he hasn’t been afraid to embrace change since he took charge at the start of the year. Several members of staff have been promoted into Contract Manager positions, and Chris has also filled new vacancies for analysts and surveyors, resulting in impressive growth in our Central division in just a few months. Admin processes have also been reworked to ensure our systems are as efficient as possible. Chris says: “My colleagues and I have worked really hard during this transition period to get to where we are right now. It’s all about teamwork. I’m lucky to have some great people around me who are committed to engaging with our clients, building long-term relationships, and, of course, servicing clients to the best of their ability. One of our colleagues in our accounts team, Kelly Mills, is training for her AAT qualifications with First Intuition, an award-winning training provider with study centres across the country. First Intuition held a charity football tournament at the weekend to help raise money for The One Love Project - and seven staff from Environtec headed down to Billericay Football Club to take part! Ricci Price, our team captain, said the tournament was a great experience for all involved - and knowing donations and entry fees were going towards such an important local cause was the icing on the cake. #environtec #charity #football #footballtournament

Seven members of the Environtec team took part in Chelmsford’s Race4Business in Central Park earlier in the week to raise money for Havens Hospices.   Fresh from the experience, our National Technical Manager Ben Arnold said:   “It was a fantastic event with over 600 participants. The overall winner somehow managed to finish the race in under 16 minutes, which is frankly ridiculous!   “The atmosphere on the day was great and we managed to avoid the rain which threatened to dampen the event."
