Imagine a girl born today waiting until her 97th birthday to see gender equality achieved. According to the #2024SDGGenderIndex from Equal Measures 2030, that is the stark reality we face without accelerated action. This timeline not only delays progress – it denies millions of women and girls the right to live in a fair and just world within their lifetimes. At Women for Women International, we are committed to changing this trajectory by equipping women in conflict-affected areas with the resources, skills, and networks they need to transform their communities. Every step toward equality counts, and together we can make an impact that accelerates change for women everywhere. Let’s not wait another century – let's act now: https://lnkd.in/eeXGic5V #GenderEquality #WomenEmpowerment #ActNow #SupportWomen #WomensRights #GenderIndex2024

The future of global gender justice is at stake. Equal Measures 2030's new SDG index reveals that a girl born today will have to wait until her 97th birthday to live in an equal society. 💡 Today, nearly 40% of countries are stagnating or regressing on gender equality, putting hard-won gains in women's and girls' rights at risk due to rising anti-feminist rhetoric, political polarization, increasing economic instability, and climate change. True equality will only exist when women and girls have full access to their rights—from equal pay and land ownership to sexual and reproductive rights, freedom from violence, access to education, and maternal health rights. ➜ https://lnkd.in/daH3Z8gb
