Tina Lohr attended the conference on 'Salt Tectonics in the Energy Transition' at The Geological Society last week.    The event brought together presenters from industry, academia and state authorities who shared their research and case studies. Topics included tectonics, stratigraphy, and the complexity of internal salt structures.   Much of the discussion was centred around underground storage in salt caverns - in particular the role of lithological heterogeneity, the process of making caves, injection and withdrawal rates, geomechanics, as well as induced seismicity, subsidence and public perception.    If you want to learn more about ERCE's technical capabilities related to underground storage and how we may be able to help you, Tina Lohr is always happy to have a conversation!
