This redevelopment has achieved LEED Platinum, WELL Gold, and WiredScore Gold certifications, confirming the high sustainability standards attained. ESA engineering contributed to the project with its expertise in MEP design, vertical transportation analysis, energy consulting and sustainability certifications, acoustics, and lighting design, supporting the renovation of a building that today represents a perfect balance between innovation and the enhancement of existing architectural heritage. 🌿🏗️

The renovation project of Deutsche Bank Italia’s headquarters in Milan has been featured in THE PLAN magazine. This initiative, directed by COIMA IMAGE and executed by Coiver Group, transformed the 15,000 sqm building. The reorganization of the spaces integrated work areas with zones dedicated to support and collaboration, with a special focus on natural light, acoustic comfort, and sustainability. Il progetto di riqualificazione della sede centrale di Deutsche Bank Italia Milano ha riguardato la modernizzazione dell’edificio originariamente progettato dallo Studio Valle Architetti Associati. L’intervento è stato concepito per rispondere alle nuove logiche organizzative e funzionali della Banca, con l’obiettivo di ottimizzare e riconfigurare gli spazi dell’intero complesso edilizio, che si estende su una superficie complessiva di 15.000 mq. Il progetto, diretto da COIMA Image e realizzato da Coiver Group, è stato gestito per fasi, garantendo la continuità operativa dei dipendenti durante i lavori. La riorganizzazione degli ambienti ha integrato aree lavorative con spazi dedicati al supporto e alla collaborazione, ponendo particolare attenzione alla luce naturale, al comfort acustico e alla sostenibilità. Un aspetto centrale dell’intervento è stato l’adozione dei principi dell’economia circolare: materiali a basso impatto ambientale sono stati utilizzati insieme al recupero di elementi preesistenti, come soffitti e pavimenti, per ridurre gli sprechi. Un ringraziamento a THE PLAN per aver raccontato questo progetto in questo numero speciale. The redevelopment of Deutsche Bank’s Milan headquarter focused on modernizing the building originally designed by Studio Valle Architetti Associati. The project aimed to align with the Bank's new organizational and functional requirements by optimizing and reconfiguring the entire 15,000-square-meter complex. Directed by COIMA Image and executed by Coiver Group, the project was carried out in phases to ensure operational continuity: the redesign integrated office spaces with areas dedicated to support and relaxation, with a strong focus on natural light, acoustic comfort, and sustainability. A key aspect of the intervention was the adoption of circular economy principles: low-impact materials were used alongside the recovery of existing elements, such as ceilings and floors, to reduce waste. Casting new light on such a historic building is both a great responsibility and an extraordinary opportunity to feel deeply moved. A tailor-made project crafted to enhance the beauty and historical significance of the building, without ever altering its essence.
