Partner Michael Bahar recently participated as a panelist at The Wall Street Journal’s WSJ Tech Live: Cybersecurity event. In these turbulent times, Michael emphasized the importance of: - Managing evolving and proliferating #cybersecurity requirements: Regulators worldwide are demanding more specific cybersecurity controls, especially for critical infrastructure companies. This includes rapidly shrinking incident reporting timescales due to concerns about system-wide attacks and national #security implications. - Updating incident response plans for #AI threats: With AI advancements, companies should consider revising plans to address threats like deepfakes, forged documents, and disinformation. AI can even cause significant damage without breaching networks, so companies must be prepared to counter attacks on the truth. - Avoiding a false sense of security: Despite apparent de-prioritization of regulation and enforcement by the US federal government, companies should nonetheless prioritize compliance. Statutes of limitations are long, state regulators are enhancing their efforts, and selective federal enforcement remains a possibility. Watch this video for a glimpse of Michael's insights! https://lnkd.in/efDsuckk Visit the following link for more with WSJ Tech Live: Cybersecurity 2025. https://lnkd.in/eafgKm7n
