Helping You Develop, Promote And Retain Your Female Leaders

About us

The Pipeline was established in 2012 to confront a pressing economic challenge. It was evident during the economic crisis that businesses pivotal to the crash suffered from a notable absence of gender diversity in senior leadership. Our sole purpose is to help organisations achieve greater gender diversity at the most senior levels and achieve their targets for women in leadership. Since 2012 we have delivered evidence-led and outcome-focused programmes, proven to help all our client organisations increase, promote, and retain women. We develop inclusive organisations by empowering their women to ascend to senior leadership positions through strategic programmes that set them up for success. Simultaneously, we facilitate leaders understanding of the challenges that women encounter and drive cultural shifts towards greater inclusivity. We engage directly with CEOs, ExCo sponsors, and line managers of the women participating in our programmes because we recognise that women don't operate in isolation; often, it's the entire ecosystem surrounding them that requires transformation. By collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels, we ensure a comprehensive approach that addresses systemic challenges and fosters an environment conducive to women's advancement.

Regardless of your politics or opinions on the measures announced in today’s budget, it is an extraordinary moment for gender parity as Rt Hon Rachel Reeves becomes the first female Chancellor of the Exchequer to deliver the UK budget. After 𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 and 𝟭𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀, a woman now holds the reins in one of the nation’s most influential positions, setting an inspiring precedent for gender representation in leadership. At The Pipeline, we know how important visibility is for the next generation of leaders, and today serves as a reminder of the possibilities for women who aspire to shape policy, impact businesses, and lead in sectors of every kind. Let’s celebrate this milestone and continue working toward a world where diverse voices are represented at every level. #RachelReeves #Budget #GenderEquality

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: 𝗔 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 Creating a balanced leadership team takes commitment, strategy, and sometimes, making uncomfortable choices. Simon Linares FCIPD and his team at Direct Line Group saw this journey firsthand. In just three years, they grew female representation in leadership from 17% to 37% by: ✅ Investing in high-potential women with The Pipeline’s Top Flight programme ✅ Connecting leaders’ bonuses to progress on Women in Finance targets ✅ Championing sponsorship and reverse mentoring for lasting impact This journey wasn’t without challenges, but as Simon highlights, progress only happens when we openly commit to change, no subtlety needed. Your daughter’s question is so powerful – it’s clear that while we’ve made significant strides, as our Women Count 2024 report shows, there’s still much more to be done to achieve true equality. It’s voices like yours and moments like these that drive us to keep pushing for change. Together, we can ensure that the progress we've made is built upon, not just for ourselves but for the next generation of women leaders. #WomenCount2024 #FemaleLeaders #GenderParity #Altrata

    Senior Product Manager - Lending

My daughter recently visited Mansfield Pollard & Co Ltd in Bradford and spent time talking to their female CEO Lou Ellis-Frankland. She came back buzzing with energy and enthusiasm and as we talked about her experience we reflected on the fact that the company I work for (Yorkshire Building Society) is also proudly lead by a female CEO; Susan Allen, OBE. She asked a very poignant question ‘so mum are women equal now or do we still need to do more?’ This latest report from the The Pipeline on ‘Women Count’ raises the issue that 47% of Britons think that we have gone far enough https://lnkd.in/dqHMtE_w. We have to continue to focus on the change we want to see and even when we think we have cracked it, we need to reinforce it (John Kotter). I found it a really insightful and inspiring read, motivating me to keep going with my own personal ambitions for both myself and my daughter!

The latest Women Count Report reveals a concerning drop in female representation on the executive committees of Britain’s biggest businesses. Any previous gains are proving fragile, and complacency is not an option. Despite overwhelming evidence that having women on executive committees drives better business outcomes, progress remains frustratingly slow. Gender parity must be a strategic imperative, not an afterthought. At The Pipeline, we know that if businesses take action now, we won’t have to wait generations for gender parity. It’s time to stop paying lip service and start making meaningful changes. ⬇️ Download the Women Count 2024 Report now and share it with your leadership team: https://lnkd.in/eFRnzcrY 𝑳𝒆𝒕’𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝑲. #WomenCount2024 #GenderParity #DiversityandInclusion #Altrata

    • There is no room for complacency. We simply cannot afford for businesses to lose focus or pay lip service when it comes to promoting and supporting women.
