But while the science behind it is debatable, there’s no doubt that January can feel tough—dark mornings, cold weather, and the post-holiday slump can all take their toll. A simple conversation, a small act of kindness, or even stepping outside for fresh air can make a real difference. Congratulations to Tamsin who passed her Part 3 architecture interview this week. It's well deserved after witnessing how much studying she has put in over the last few months. Tamsin joined Expedite in 2023 and after seeing her skills develop over the last 18 months we aren't surprised that she smashed it!

✨ Investing in Our Team’s Wellbeing ✨ We’re committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment at EXPEDITE. That's why we've recently held a "Wellbeing for Managers" training session. This session focused on practical strategies for managing stress, boosting morale, and fostering strong team relationships. One way we have been encouraging our team to reduce stress and anxiety is to get active. We have a Strava group to record what we are up to, whether that's getting out for a short walk, yoga class or the Team Padel session. It's been a great way for the wider team to connect and create a competitive spirit! We also have #MentalHealthFirstAiders on our team who are professionally trained to open conversations and signpost those in need. They keep an eye on us all and offer support in a confidential and practical manner. The festive season is not always an easy time of year, so let's prioritise mental health together. We've had a fantastic year and we wouldn't be able to achieve anything without our great staff. Whilst we work hard, we like to have some fun along the way too.

We've joined the Padel revolution at Exeter Padel Centre! A great facility on the edge of the city which allowed many of us to try out this sport for the first time. It was a nice, low impact game that allowed us to have a bit of fun. We'll be back for another match just as soon as we figure out the rules!
