If you have an underperforming heat network and are looking to access #HNES funding, why don't you check out some of the videos that we produced for #DESNZ to support the scheme? As a minimum, if you watch this one, you'll get to hear the dulcet tones of one of our fantastic senior engineers, Ryan Harris!
By improving the insulation of heat networks, levels of heat loss can be reduced which lowers costs and prevents overheating of the buildings supplied. Insulation is one of the many ways to improve your heat network, understand how it can bring performance uplifts in this short video: https://lnkd.in/eRXwwY_N FairHeat #EnergyEfficiency #Optimisation #Funding

Hey Network Earlier this summer I had the privileged opportunity to complete a research internship as part of the Nuffield Research Placements programme at FairHeat , a leading heat network Consultantcy. I was working under consulting engineers and I was tasked with a project of creating 2 heat networks and conducting a comparison between them . I learnt about the work that chemical engineers do , specifically heat networks and district heating systems . This experience also strengthened my research skills as I was also tasked with writing a research report and poster . I also a presented my findings to a team of engineers , improving my presentation skills in the process Overall my research internship at Fairheat was an amazing experience , and it has opened my eyes to the careers in chemical engineering . It has fuelled my desire to pursue a degree in Chemical engineering and enter the sector .

The HNES funded Windmill Park project with FairHeat & Notting Hill Genesis is shortlisted for the District Heating Project of the Year at the HVR Awards! ✨ Notting Hill Genesis took a proactive approach to address Windmill Park’s supply unreliability issue by partnering with FairHeat and tapping into HNES funding. This project has secured HNES Demonstrator funding as well as from Round 1. View the optimisation case study: https://lnkd.in/dRR6kt5i #DistrictHeating #HVRawards #Heating #HeatNetworks
🏆 We are excited to share that, in collaboration with Notting Hill Genesis, our project at Windmill Park has been shortlist for the HVR Awards 2024 - District Heating Project of the Year! 🌟The Windmill Park project exemplifies FairHeat's commitment to excellence in the optimisation of existing heat networks. At the core of this project's success lies our collective ability to turn a struggling network into a model of efficiency, a key factor behind the recognition received. The real success though has been the positive impact to end users, improving the everyday like of residents. Daniel Perager, Head of Heat Energy and Water, Notting Hill Genesis comments: “The Windmill Park project presented a huge challenge to us as a team as there were significant issues that would not be easy to solve. We were confident when partnering with FairHeat that together we would find innovative solutions that would transform the struggling network into a model of efficiency.” “We were able to do this through strategic investment – replacing equipment, updating the heat interface units and introducing controls and measures to boost water quality. Most notably the system is future proofed to allow for further improvements to carbon efficiency.” “It’s great to see the benefit of this project on the everyday lives of residents.” Well done to all teams involved 👏 we look forward to celebrating together at the award ceremony 🥂 . #hvrawards24 #heatnetworks #districtheating #projects #collaboration #optimisation #efficiency #performance #futureproofed
