In 2021, Falko formed a new partnership with the University of Hertfordshire Aeronautics and Space Faculty. The aim being to support engineering students through their studies as well as introducing them and the University to the aircraft leasing and asset management sector. As part of this commitment, Falko sponsors a design module for first year students. The brief this year was for students to design, build and test a Ground Effect Vehicle (GEV), subject to strict requirements and constraints. Earlier this year, Falko welcomed Dale O'Neill, a 2nd year student from the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities ("TCPID"), as he undertook an 8-week placement in Falko's Dublin office under the mentorship of Alexander Vining, Falko's VP Marketing. Falko caught up with Dale and Alex at the end of the programme, as well as TCPID's Employment Pathways Coordinator, Marie Devitt and Falko's CFO, Ray Gorman, to get their insights into how the placement went. The discussion highlights the importance of Business Partners like Falko and the role they play in supporting students with intellectual disabilities; providing them with an opening to gain real-world experience, and importantly receive the same opportunities in life as other students. As well as being an invaluable experience for Dale, it was evident the positive impact Dale's placement had in the Dublin office and acted as a powerful reminder of the importance of creating an inclusive workplace. Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (Falko), the world’s largest asset manager and aircraft lessor focused solely on the regional aircraft sector, has provided a summary of its Q2 2024 portfolio activity. Falko added two aircraft to its managed portfolio through the acquisition of two E190 aircraft on lease to Airlink from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), part of a previously announced twenty-four E-Jet portfolio deal with the lessor. In addition, a Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed for the purchase of two E170 aircraft with leases attached. On the trading side, Falko sold four ATR aircraft and two CF34 engines. Falko Regional Aircraft Limited ("Falko"), today announced that its parent company, Chorus Aviation Inc. ("Chorus") has entered into a sale and purchase agreement to sell Falko and its affiliates to affiliates of investment funds managed by HPS Investment Partners, LLC.
