We were delighted to welcome Mike Kane MP, Aviation Minister to Leeds Bradford Airport last month in partnership with the team at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. He met with the our CEO Vincent and construction partners Farrans Construction and was given a tour of our terminal extension. Vincent Hodder commented: “It was great to have the Aviation Minister on site experiencing our brand new terminal extension which is due to open this Summer. LBA: REGEN is the first major improvement to our terminal since its opening in 1968 and is long overdue. It’s vitally important to upgrade LBA to the world-class facility Yorkshire deserves. We are confident that LBA can continue to play a significant role in improving international connectivity for the region and supporting local economic growth for many years to come.” 📷 L > R: Vincent Hodder, CEO, LBA, Mike Kane MP, Joselyn Rankin MPRCA FCMI fCMgr, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, LBA, Darren McIvor, Project Manager, Farrans Construction Limited

Last month we revealed that we had been selected by Leeds Bradford Airport to deliver Phase 2 of its £100m LBA: REGEN project and we are very excited about continuing to build key relationships in this region. Social value and stakeholder engagement are important parts of our project delivery and recently we visited Horsforth Secondary School and Sixth Form to present two education and skills sessions to two classes of 18 year 7 students. We covered an introduction to the construction industry, talked about our project at Leeds Bradford Airport and introduced our waste suppliers, Go Green, who delivered an informative presentation on What is Waste and what can be reduced/re-used or recycled. We are looking forward to doing more engagement work in the coming weeks and months. Thank you to everyone who took part! #socialvalue #leeds #airport #aviation
