  • International Stress Awareness Day today. I'd love to hear your techniques for de-stressing - what do you do to help reduce stress in your daily life? And can you tell when you're feeling stressed? Or is it something that you're feeling constantly? It's really saddened me over the last few weeks, the number of conversations I've had with people who have chronic stress and/or are burnt out. Awareness of symptoms of stress is the first step towards helping reducing it and it does ask for a fair amount of self-awareness. So you might feel: - Overwhelmed - Constantly tired - Forgetful - Restless - Irritable - Bloated/constipated/other When you're feeling all these and more ALL of the time (or at least the majority of the time), then it's time to think about reducing your stress. The best ones I've found are mindfulness meditation and yoga, which is why I LOVE teaching them both and bringing their benefits to you. If you'd like to reduce stress, contact me for a chat about joining yoga classes, a course or an event or even a private session with myself. Either direct message me or email on fatfrogyoga@gmail.com PD: Purple background graphic with the words: International Stress Awareness Day 6th Nov 2024 in lighter purple. • With National Stress Awareness Day just around the corner (6th November), I wanted to take a moment to check in with you all and ask how your stress levels are. How are you doing? Stress manifests differently for all of us, however some overriding symptoms include: Difficulty concentrating Feeling overwhelmed Worrying about everything Forgetful Lacking motivation Always tired Often feeling sick If you are feeling any of the above, or know someone who is, why not try a 4 week course designed specifically to give you the tangible tools to help manage stress and anxiety. We start tomorrow (5th November) with just 2 places left and will be looking at practical examples of how to decrease stress through yoga and mindfulness and how to lift ourselves up when we've gone so far into the freeze response we're barely able to move. I can support you. If you can't make every week but are interested, give me a shout and we'll work something out. All weeks are suitable to beginners, people who aren't able to get up and down off the floor and anyone with a little of experience. All are welcome. Just 2 places left! is one of them yours?? https://lnkd.in/eKQRGDUQ ID: Fat Frog Yoga & Mindfulness branded graphic with blue and red swirling background. Text in a white box reads: starting 5th November; Chaos to Calm, a 4 week mind and body reboot. A picture of Fay, a white female with ginger hair, doing the legs up the wall pose is below the text.

  • I’m looking for 10 individuals who either feel constantly super stressed and anxious or so low they’re barely able to move and who want to understand more about how to manage these feelings to ease themselves down from a state of high alert, or help themselves up from a state of complete freeze. Over the course of 4 weeks, you’ll use yoga and mindfulness techniques to understand what’s happening with your nervous system when you might be feeling stressed or flat and build a toolkit to help you in each of these scenarios. This is a beta trial course, so I’m offering it at £80 (usual price £99) in the hope that we can work together where you provide me ongoing feedback about the course so that I can tweak for you and for future participants. We start on 5th November at 1pm at Whittington Moor Methodist Church Hall and each session will generally be 1.5 hours long. Along with yoga and mindfulness practices geared around activating your nervous system, you’ll each receive a handbook and practices to try in between each session. Suitable for complete beginners to yoga and people who don't wish to get up and down off the floor. Full attendance is encouraged, however as you'll receive a handbook you'll be able to catch up if you do miss a week. Contact me if you have any questions, or would like to look at a payment option, otherwise booking is via the website: https://lnkd.in/e3w-D8Et ID: Fat Frog Yoga & Mindfulness branded graphic with blue and red swirling background. Text in a white box reads: Starting November, Stress less, live more: A 4 week stress relief course. An oval picture of Fay, a white female with strawberry blonde hair, wearing a blue t-shirt and trousers and is on a bed with her legs up against the wall. A small toy frog is doing the same yoga pose on the headboard of the bed.

  • Random question - what's your relationship with the festive season?? Do you love it and go throughout the next couple of months with joy in your heart and not a sniff of stress or worry? OR, do you find the run up to the festive season super stressful, being pulled in all different directions by friends and loved ones, saying yes to all the events knowing full well you don't really want to go, being hounded by all the adverts promoting an unrealistic Christmas all whilst juggling normal life and work?? Would you like to learn some coping mechanisms to help you manage stress and anxiety during the festive period? If the answer to the last two questions was "YES", then go from Chaos to Calm in a 4 week course starting on 5th November that will help you to build a toolkit of yoga and mindfulness techniques to help you understand your mind and body and manage symptoms of stress and anxiety whenever they rear their heads. Yoga and mindfulness are the main ways I navigate the pressures of the Christmas period, so join me to explore how you can help yourself the best way for you. Date: 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th November Time: 1:00-2:30pm Venue: Whittington Moor Methodist Church Hall Price: £80 or £20 per week for 4 weeks No experience necessary, this course is suitable for complete beginners, people who don't wish to or who aren't able to get up and down off the floor and anyone who does have a bit of experience with yoga or mindfulness. Your mental wellbeing is invaluable and you won't regret taking the time out to look after yourself. Will I see you there?? https://lnkd.in/eKQRGDUQ
