FIN have been making a big impact in the world of further education. Our research has led to changes being made in many areas with our Big Listen report influencing the proposed changes to how Ofsted carries out and reports on inspection. Ofsted – “The Fellowship of Inspection Nominees (FIN) told us that reporting should include more guidance on how to improve provision. FIN also said that ‘98% of surveyed nominees are adamant that 5 days’ notice of an inspection should be given to providers of all sizes’.” There has also been calls for major reform of the functional skills qualifications in the governments curriculum and assessment review, based on our report for need to make the FSQ more relevant to both the apprentice and the employer. Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/ehYA_bE2 To continue making waves we need your help to gather evidence. At FIN, we are keen to identify the impact of July’s ESFA instruction that requires providers with less than a 50% Qualification Achievement Rate (QAR) for an individual standard in 2023/24 to stop new starts in that apprenticeship programme, raising concerns about a provider’s strategic planning, business development and cashflow. Please complete the anonymous survey below to give your contribution to this research and make a difference.
