Did you get to crowd surf last week? 🏄♀️ As part of The Events Summit with Major Events International Ltd, we delivered our first #KeepingPeopleSafe Challenge. Events industry professionals joined us for the ultimate test of skill, knowledge, and pure luck, with 5 fortunate winners leaving with exclusive Co-op Live tickets! In just 90 minutes, we delivered 6 mini-teaches followed by an activity on:  🚑 Citizen Aid with a hands-on mass casualty scenario 💥 3DMR Counter Terrorism Risk Management methodology 🔲 Crowd Movement analysis and square metre races 🏄♀️ Front of Stage Operations, followed by the chance to crowd surf  📲 Crowd Dynamics demo with computer modelling ⁉️ 'A Question of Events', not to be confused with A Question of Sports... Women’s Night Safe Space Big Give Campaign 📢 Women Friendly Leeds are fundraising to save the Women's Night Safe Space night bus from closure, and they need your support! This bus operates in Leeds city centre and supports women if they feel unsafe, unwell, vulnerable, or unsettled for any reason, in partnership with Safer Leeds. 🚌 Ed Herring, Operations Manager, commented on the importance of this service, saying that it is "vital to the night-time economy, and we need to support this initiative. Our security teams are aware of the risks to alone or vulnerable females, and sometimes the simplest thing like a flat phone battery, no access to transport home, or just having nobody to talk to can lead to much bigger issues and risks. Leeds women’s safe space are a warm, friendly, and welcoming face to people at their most vulnerable time." Tomorrow, Peter Harrison sets out on his toughest endurance challenge yet: The Manchester Backyard Ultra Race. 💛 This is all in aid of a fantastic but small charity, CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria, who really do need the extra funds. 🏃♂️ He needs to run 4.167 miles on the hour, every hour, for as many hours as possible. 🥇 The race has only one winner, the last one standing, and everyone else gets a DNF (Did Not Finish). How do you support your team on World Mental Health Day? 🫶 📚 FGH Training have been upskilling our team in L2 First Aid for Mental Health. They've delivered this course to: 100% of our Trainee Managers on the Management Training Program  24 of our Operational Management and Office Team & many more of our front-line team members! This provides the team with skills to:  ✅ Recognise common mental health conditions ✅ Know the role of the mental health first aider ✅ Be able to provide advice and begin a supportive conversation Many of our team members have also completed L2 Safeguarding with FGH Training and online toolbox training for mental health crises available on our Learning Management System. We encourage a supportive network between colleagues and a robust system of referrals to specialist services when required.
