Did you know, that 2.2 million people are living with a condition that causes sight loss? This number is estimated to reach a shocking 4 million by 2050 further fuelling demand for services. A significant proportion of sight loss can be prevented through preventative action, earlier diagnosis and timely access to treatment and support, which is why The Eyes Have It partnership (funded by Roche) has come together to urge parliamentarians to support a National Plan for Eye Care in England. Find out more at 🔗 www.eyeshaveit.co.uk/ The Eyes Have It is a partnership of Fight for Sight, Macular Society, RNIB Association of Optometrists and The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth)

On the 20th September the “Willows Fight for Sight” family funds held a fundraising golf day (with Midland Scaffolding Services Ltd) and raised over £2000! Diagnosed at just 20 months old with unilateral congenital cataracts, Willows family created a family fund with us to raise funds and awareness for Congenital Cataracts. “Before Willows diagnosis we had never even heard of cataracts in children,” her parents told us. “By setting up this fund we're hoping we can raise more awareness for parents to check their babies eyes regularly and recognise the early signs, like light sensitivity and when taking photos of their children looking to see if they have ‘red eye’ proving positive red reflex”.
