Well said Paul Wright. A sad day indeed for our industry. Our thoughts are with all the talented people affected by this sudden announcement from Technicolor.
Many years ago, I persuaded Andy Barmer to give me a job in the Mac room at The Mill. Jason Watts and Steve Murgatroyd put in a good word for me which helped! I’d become fed-up with graphic design in the music industry and this ‘moving Photoshop’ stuff looked cool. Although my time at The Mill was short, the energy, excitement, raw talent and feeling of doing incredibly creative work at the forefront of creative tech was palpable. It was an exceptional place to work- it is a cliche but everyone worked hard and played harder. Over the years, The Mill set the standard in London, serving as a launchpad for countless exceptional artists, producers and technicians. Among them were our own Fi Kilroe, Jason Watts, Steve Murgatroyd, Vittorio Giannini, Meg Guidon and Laura Ricketts, along with former Freefolkers: Louise Unwin, Paul Harrison, David Skippy Clifton, Judy Roberts, Artur Drozdowicz, Pippa Halfnight, Derryn Clarke amongst others. Today is a profoundly sad day for our industry. Whatever the eventual outcome will be, we must remember the hundreds of dedicated, talented professionals who have continued to produce outstanding work. My thoughts today are with the artists, producers and technicians now facing uncertainty during these challenging times.

Marty McMullan grades the launch film for Ooni's big product release for 2025, the Halo Pro Spiral Mixer. We collaborated with Where Giants Roam and "The grade brief was to convey the new Ooni mixer as a stylish and luxury product. Careful attention was made to seamlessly blend the CG and live-action footage within the film". says Marty. We had a great experience bringing this slick film together for Where Giants Roam. Thanks for getting us on board!
