Pension Awareness Week runs from 9-15 September and involves a week of industry events highlighting the importance of being aware of your pension. It is a good time of year to think about your pension. The end of the tax year is just over six months away, so it is a timely half-year point at which to review your contribution levels, allowances and any potential life stage changes that might be relevant to your retirement pots. So, what can you do to make sure you're getting the most out of your pension? Here are some key tips you should have in mind: https://lnkd.in/exVgktBB #PAD24 #PensionAwarenessWeek #PensionAwareness #Pensions #FinancialAdvice #FinancialPlanning #FinancialPlan

Isn't it amazing how some movies stand the test of time? From blockbusters like Star Wars to small independent films that engage us and remind us of specific times in our lives. With that in mind, did you know Basingstoke has its own renowned film festival called Exit 6, which takes place in September? It offers the chance for small filmmakers to showcase their work online and in person. We are pleased to be supporting this year's event and encouraging creative talents by sponsoring two of the awards: 🎬 Best Screenplay 🎬 Best Performance Support them if you can - who doesn't love a good movie? https://lnkd.in/eEEFwZEY And good luck to Mark Brennan and the team!

A huge well done to our very own Jenn Vallor and Natalie Murphy, who walked the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike at the weekend as part of a small team raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Their team - Time Heels - have raised over £4,000 so far, but there is still time to donate. https://lnkd.in/e24B8DwQ Well done, Jenn & Natalie! #community #makingadifference #cancersucks

The benefits of a pension and long-term planning are well known, but many people either put it off or leave it running in the background. With Pension Awareness Week upon us, why not re-assess yours or speak to your financial planner? With different types of pensions available, your financial planner will be able to sit down with you, ascertain how you see your future, and help you plan now so that you benefit later. And, if you don't know where to start, just get in touch and let's chat it through: https://lnkd.in/euWsdZxE #PensionAwareness

Three of the Finli Fellas - Tony Gardiner MLIBF DipFA® ICWM, Reuben Honey MCSI & Ashley Hull are in Basingstoke today, braving the weather for The Pink Place charity golf day. (All smiles before walking out to the wind and rain). Joined here by client, Darryn, and Craig Killick who is a trustee of the charity, they are also sponsoring a hole to help the charity raise as much money as they can to help with well-being support for local people living with Cancer. Good luck, team Finli!

Sudden wealth has become a growing issue that affects people from every walk of life. The phrase “sudden wealth” is likely to conjure images of winning the lottery or inheriting a large sum from a mysterious great aunt. But more likely than not, it pertains to people whose parents have quietly squirrelled away a nest egg through property, pensions and other assets over a lifetime. When these people pass away, they might not have set up an inheritance plan or clearly explained to their loved ones what’s in their portfolio and how much it’s worth. This can create huge issues for beneficiaries as unmitigated tax liabilities can force people to sell assets they may not be prepared to deal with. Here’s how you can protect your family against the potential consequences of sudden wealth: https://lnkd.in/egEYXAvk #suddenwealth #finances #financialplanning #financialplan #financialadviser #financialadvice #generationalwealth

Once again (but the first time since the name change from Beaufort Financial Reading) we will be sponsoring The Reading Legal Walk on 17th September. We can already see that many local law firms and professionals have already signed up for the 10km sponsored walk - organised by London Legal Support Trust - to raise funds for the provision of free legal advice in Reading & The Thames Valley, so it should be another fantastic fundraising event. There is still plenty of time to sign a team up and get some training in. Details are below, and once again, we are so very proud to support this very worthwhile local initiative. https://lnkd.in/eW5RDfVW #Reading #Legal #LawFirms #Community #Fundraising
