In partnership with Fitch Ratings, the Council of Black Leaders in Finance (CBLF) hosted an incredible evening celebrating diversity and Black contributions in finance. The event featured a memorable fireside chat with Verdun S. Perry, Global Head of Blackstone Strategic Partners, moderated by Milwood Hobbs, Jr., Managing Director and Head of Sourcing & Origination at Oaktree. It was a night of insightful discussions, networking, and honoring the impact of Black leaders and allies in the finance industry. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

As part of a series of activities to mark World Mental Health Day, our Mental Health First Aiders in London teamed up with our employee resource group, Green Wave, to host an engaging terrarium-making workshop. The event attracted a group of employees, from various teams within Fitch, that were eager to learn, create, and connect. Participants had the opportunity to create their own self-watering garden in a glass jar. They delved into the history of terrariums, learning how to care for them, and discovering the ideal plants to fill them with. The workshop emphasized the benefits of nature for wellbeing, aligning perfectly with the theme of World Mental Health Day. No prior experience was necessary, making the workshop accessible to all. Attendees left with their own unique terrariums and a deeper understanding of how incorporating nature into our daily lives can enhance mental health. #MentalHealthDay #Wellbeing #Environment

Fitch, in partnership with buildOn, has successfully broken ground to build a new primary school in the vibrant community of Ramnagar, Nepal. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to fostering education and empowering communities around the world. Over the course of a week, our dedicated volunteers collaborated closely with local community members, working hand in hand to bring this project to life. Shared meals with host families and cultural exchange sessions enriched the experience, deepening the bond between volunteers and the community . Home to 150 households and a population exceeding 1,000, Ramnagar will get significant benefits from the new school. Currently, 125 students are enrolled, but once construction is completed, the school is expected to serve approximately 400 students, including those from neighboring villages. The three schools we have built this year in Senegal, Guatemala and Nepal highlight the power of collaboration and the incredible outcomes we can achieve when we unite with a shared vision.
