DS Smith, provider of sustainable fibre-based packaging, has invested over €25 million (£20.98 million) in its Polish production lines and machinery parks in #Kielce, #Bełchatów, and #Sosnowiec. The investments are anticipated to increase annual packaging production capacity by approximately 25 million square metres, and glued boxes by 7.5 million square metres, according to DS Smith. #Investments #Plants #Technology

US supplier of printed packaging, Allied Packaging Corporation, has installed two Mark Andy Inc. Evolution flexo presses at its production facility in Phoenix, Arizona, to boost the output of pressure-sensitive and filmic labels. Turkish label printer, İlketap Etiket ve Ambalaj San. Tic. A.Ş. (IIketap), has purchased its fourth Nilpeter press (FA-22 press) – almost exactly one year after its last investment. NEWS: Spanish label converter Mirmar, S.A. is to add a second Mark Andy Inc. Digital Series HD inkjet/flexo hybrid press in 2025, having placed an order after what it says has been a highly productive year with its first machine, which was installed at its Valencia headquarters in 2023. The new machine will be a 17-inch wide DSHD HighSpeed 1200 hybrid, a model that was launched recently at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago. The digital/flexo hybrids work alongside an array of Mark Andy Performance Series flexo lines that the company has built its business on. #flexo #flexodigitalhybrid #labels https://lnkd.in/eDYVPJqh
