Curators of bespoke educational adventures focused on conservation & wellness Eco-friendly trips. Certified BCorp

About us

We are curators of unforgettable student travel adventures that are designed to have a positive impact on both people and the planet. Our eco-friendly educational trips focus on conservation, ethical and sustainable travel and global citizenship. Each trip is meticulously built to align perfectly with current curriculums, underwritten by our in-house team of Exploration Officers who all have extensive years of experience in higher education management, student engagement, curriculum development, and lecturing. We plan adventures around the world as well as the UK, incorporating conservation, sustainability and wellness into each destination. Our diverse selection of educational expeditions means there’s plenty of choice for different age groups and different educational topics. We're proud to say that we were the first B Corporation in the travel industry in the UK. We're a carbon-positive organisation and partner of the UN Climate Neutral Now Initiative. We run a Floogle Fund to support sustainable practices and the conservation projects we work with. Life-changing travel experiences for young people, that inspire change for good.

From chimpanzees to pangolins, kingfishers to elephants. This project has it all! Not jealous at all that Polly will be leading this great group! You are going to have a blast! • Being part of #GenB means acting for change. We wholeheartedly believe that business should be a force for good. That’s why we were the first travel company in the UK to become a certified B Corp (we registered in 2016), and we’re still the only certified company in the education sector. We didn’t do it to say we were the first; we did it because we know there is strength in community. For all these reasons, we’re proud to be a part of #BCorpMonth.

  • Oh hey, Curriculum Exploration Officer Rob Wilson 👋🏽 He is beaming as he has just taken delivery of his first batch of AQA Unit Award Certificates for The Sheffield College's group of students, recently back from our awesome project in South Africa. This year, every student we take on an adventure, regardless of where in the world, will have the opportunity to earn AQA certificates. What kind of certificates you say? ➡️ Introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals ➡️ Personal development: Different aspects of resilience ➡️ Field Skills: Drones in conservation ➡️ Carbon net zero: Sustainable travel ➡️ Environmental DNA sampling ➡️ Sustainability within our environment ➡️ Biology and our environment The list is rather large - but you get the idea. A competency-based certificate that gives students an additional skill to add to their CV, personal statement, or job application. Want to know more? ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eADiFNWg

  • The Flooglebinder Fam gathered in London this week for a little shindig. It was, in fact, our belated Christmas party! We know, we know, we’re a bit behind on the festivities, but when your team’s diving into projects all over the globe, finding time is a bit of a challenge! We look happy, don’t we? We MAY have enjoyed a few spicy margaritas, but we are also celebrating more good news: * A big welcome to Dray, our brand-new Head of People! 👏 * We completed our first batch of AQA UAS certificates to the awesome students from The Sheffield College whilst in South Africa. (This marks the start of a brilliant new project where students earn AQA certificates, learn new skills, and level up their CVs, personal statements, and job prospects!) * Our project calendar for the rest of the year? Fully booked – we’re practically sold out! 🚀 * We’ve launched a shiny new tech tool that’s a gamechanger for managing all the admin for our trips. It’s a total win for students, teachers, and parents – stay tuned for more! A few fuzzy heads this morning, but mostly, we’re buzzing with excitement for what’s to come. This year, we’re heading to more countries, running more conservation projects and connecting even more students to the natural world. 🌍✨ #AQA #sctudytrip #schooltrip #conservationproject #flooglebinder #bcorp #responsibletravel

  • I spy Flooglebinder Camps in the Boarding Schools' Association (BSA) magazine 👀 If your school is bored of traditional residential experiences, drop us a line to chat about a school adventure that will transform the way your students think about the environment. • Human-wildlife conflict. A topic we love to explore with our students on our projects. As human populations expand and encroach on natural habitats, animals are often forced into closer proximity to settlements. This can lead to conflicts that threaten the survival of wildlife species and pose a huge danger to human life. Understanding and managing these conflicts is crucial for preserving biodiversity. In Uganda this week, our team visited a local initiative working on a sustainable solution to reduce the current conflict between farmers and elephants - 'beehive fences'. Beehives keep the elephants away from the crops (elephants have an aversion to bees!) and provide an alternative food source and income for the community. Genius! A perfect example of a nature-based solution 🐝 🍯 🐘 Excited to find out more about our Uganda itineraries? ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e-2vNe8A #uganda #naturebasedsolutions #humananimalconflict #travelwithpurpose #bcorp #schooltrip #studytrip

  • Our Co-Founder Ian Taylor is about to head into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda. He's a tad giddy. It's completely understandable as he may get close to some of the few Mountain Gorillas left in the world. These are rare and powerful moments when we deeply connect to nature. A sense of real privilege: a once-in-a-lifetime gift from the wild. The emotional impact of these interactions continues to make us all smile here at Flooglebinder. It's the reason we love sharing nature with students. Did he see the 🦍 🦍 ? I'll let you know.......

  • Waterfalls, rhinos, Nile cruises, national parks, game drives (with 4 of the big 5 spotted in a matter of hours)...... what an epic week!!! Some of the Flooglebinder crew are exploring Uganda (not jealous), making the final adjustments to our school and colleges' conservation and culture itinerary and ensuring everything will run smoothly for our 2025 trips. Our destination 'recces' are essential for fine-tuning itineraries and ensuring our project leaders are ready to lead your students on the most exhilarating adventure of their lives! Uganda is a pretty special country and we cannot wait to take you out there 🇺🇬 ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e-2vNe8A #uganda #conservation #studytrip #schooltrip #bcorp #responsibletravel

  • Travelling responsibly and having the environment at the forefront of our operations means EVERYTHING to us. Our ongoing commitment to net-zero travel is our top priority, so we’re excited to share that our commitment to one of our preservation and restoration efforts just got bigger! Our partnership with the Green Future Project protects some of the world’s most biodiverse areas. Their reserves in the Andean cloud forest safeguard endangered species while preserving essential water sources for nearby communities. This ecosystem faces threats like deforestation from agriculture, mining, and illegal hunting. By protecting 2.13 hectares of land—about 34 tennis courts—we’ve helped Fundación Jocotoco prevent deforestation and the release of 838 tonnes of CO2e into the atmosphere. This work keeps vital carbon stored in the forest and helps sustain a fragile yet crucial environment. This year, we are not just balancing our carbon impact—we’re going beyond it. Through forest protection and tree planting, we are storing and absorbing more carbon than we emit. Want to know more about our environmental commitments? • Oh hello Southern White Rhino....😍 What an absolute treat for our students on one of their very first days on project. We are pretty excited to kick off our calendar of jam-packed 2025 projects with a South Africa adventure for The Sheffield College, where they are all currently enjoying some balmy days in the bushveld. (We’re not jealous at all) A pretty epic first few days - game drives and dangerous game walks, both with some incredible encounters with elephants, lions, rhinos and a whole array of antelope and birds! They have been hard at work studying, too - when it gets too hot in the midday sun, our students are enjoying seminars in the shade on: Wildlife management - ecology, management systems and ecological principles Animal behaviour - what and why, causes and application Game capture- types and dangers Animal health- dietary health and needs, disease management Next up - this lovely lot from The Sheffield College will be training to become wildlife tracking experts by getting hands-on with rangers in the art of track and sign. Skills! #conservation #flooglebinder #trackandsign #responsibletravel #gamedrive #thebig5 #southafricatravel #studenttravel #studytrip
