This week in the UK is National Charity Week, so I thought I'd share some of my favourite Flow projects for charities. I'll share one a day all this week.
We've been fortunate enough to work with loads of fantastic charities, NGOs and non-profits over the years, on some amazing campaigns, so it's going to be hard to choose just 5.
I'm going to start with this film for Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance's 2021 Christmas appeal.
Hope for Justice is a global non-profit organisation which aims to end human trafficking and modern slavery. They approached us to help with their Christmas appeal by creating a film that was poignant and emotive but with a sense of hope.
This film tells the story of Emily, who's freedoms were taken from her through false promises of hope that transpired into unimaginable pain. Emily is a survivor of human trafficking.
There are over 40 million victims of human trafficking worldwide. This includes forced labor, forced marriage, sexual exploitation, and domestic servitude. Of all victims, 1 in 4 are children.
Victims of human trafficking are subject to physical, mental, and emotional abuse. Victims lose their freedoms but also lose their family, time, home, and hope. These feelings are hard to reconcile with, and survivors endure a life-long process of recovery. But the story does not end there.
Hope for Justice believe in a holistic approach to ending human trafficking, and work to ensure that our support empowers, uplifts, and brings hope back to survivors.
