    Expected Hiring Trends for 2024 📈 - Candidate Engagement to Increase - 2023 was certainly a mixed year in relation to candidate engagement. - Various points in the year saw good quality open positions, however it sometimes resulted in a reduced desire for those not actively looking to move into a new role. This was mainly by those in middle-management roles where the risks of changing jobs are higher compared to those in senior leadership This left many recruiting with smaller shortlists, or looking to internal resources first. ⬇️ - Q4 saw higher levels of proactive job seekers (which usually happens at this point in the year), however a lower amount of "high-quality" positions, meaning application numbers were significantly up, but left some job seekers disappointed. ⬆️ With the economic situation stabilizing, it will likely allow those passively searching to be more liberal when offers for new opportunities come around.     Expected hiring trends for 2024 🤔 Hybrid and Remote working is here to stay 💻➡️🏠 - Hybrid and remote working was a popular choice for employers, existing employees and new hires during the COVID period. It allowed many companies who operated more traditional working structures to introduce a modern schedule that appealed. - It has been well documented that companies such as Apple and Facebook has made office working mandatory again, however on the whole a Hybrid or Remote option (for those roles that allow it) will remain. There was a fear of productivity reduction, however CIPD study showed almost 40% saw an increase in productivity/efficiency. - There is now almost an expectation of this from job seekers, especially fresh talent or those in leadership roles, that they will not require to travel the office 5 days per week. I have searched for positions requiring 3 days per week on site when similar roles offer complete flexibility, it can certainly feel like you're swimming against the tide. Of course, people work best in different ways, there are a whole host of people who won't work from home as their efficiency is heightened through heading to the office and working from there. I can completely appreciate this as well. Would you maintain the shift towards hybrid and remote work? Or would you follow Facebook's approach and bring everyone back to the office?
