Do you work at one of the many brands who are keeping quiet about their sustainability credentials? This week we are giving you consumer insights that should encourage you to get loud and proud (in a responsible way, of course) about how your brand is tackling our collective environmental impact. In issue #160 🌱 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮’𝘀 “𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲” 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝟱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, our guest writer Charlotte Salley shares insights into the buying habits of US consumers... spoiler alert: it's moving in the right direction! Click the link below to read what trends we are seeing in: 🍳 the kitchen 🥑 food choices 🧼 personal care 🛋️ interior decorating 🌻 the garden Our guest writer is extra special this week...Although Charlotte is now the Senior Editor at The Cool Down, we met her when she was still working at Morning Brew and reached out to her for some advice for FTF...so basically we are saying we knew her before she was famous. https://lnkd.in/ee9exW4W

We dig into how consumer goods brands are innovating to be more sustainable via weekly newsletters, interviews & events.
About us
We dig into how consumer goods businesses are innovating to be more sustainable. Many small and medium sized brands are constrained by a lack of time, funds and/or in-house sustainability expertise. We know, because we've worked in them. Now, we fill this gap. How? Through weekly newsletters, brand interviews, two open source partner databases, an event calendar, weekly good news roundups, guest-written guides, our own events and more. We're a fully independent, volunteer-led team of sustainability professionals based across the UK, Europe and North America. We're always looking for contributions and contributors - reach out at info@followingthefootprints.com

Did you know? Every week the whole FTF team shares whatever good news we can find, and the lovely Putu Ayu Indira Ardiyatna and Katherine Hartzenberg-Aeroe take turns curating it for you. They smash it 100% of the time! I do the final honours of uploading it onto LinkedIn and adding a headline and a blurb...and as you can see I DO NOT smash it 100% of the time 😂
This meaty bulletin featuring a lot of meat-focused news has no meat in it

Every week Jenny Nova shares what the Following the Footprints team have been loving or consuming over the past week. My favourite part of that section, which we call >𝙄𝙣 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩, is the gorgeous collage she creates 😍 Here's a sample: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: I'm not entirely sure why, but the smell of coffee always reminds me of camping. I've been camping a few weekends this summer and I always pack my TrueStart Coffee | Certified B Corp | Carbon Negative Instant Coffee, which is B Corp certified and tastes great even in a field (even when you forget to pack milk in your cool box) ☕ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸: To say that I was hyped when the Noma Projects team did a ‘New York City Tour’ this past spring would be putting it lightly. I waited in a rainy line to try a specially-concocted Aebleskiver and to buy their mushroom garum (free of the high shipping cost). Months later, it’s a key ingredient in many a tofu marinade & dressing! 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: A bit of a cult classic...this week I'm replenishing my stock of The Body Shop ginger shampoo. Not only does it smell amazing, but I love what they have done with the Plastics For Change programme. Subscribe and get Jenny's update weekly in The Check-Out https://lnkd.in/eBNf5uem
