I overcomplicated the whole process - doh! When I started in food photography, I was like a headless chicken. 🤯 "Do I start with the food?" 🤯 "How about the background and backdrops?" 🤯 "What about the props?" 🤯 "Where do I actually light the food from?" Agggghhh, I got myself all tied up in knots not knowing where to start! It took me ages to set up one shot and when I looked at it afterwards I said "meh" It was disappointing to spend lots of time, throw everything at it, but not actually have a guide on what I should actually do. So, after amazing feedback, constructive critiques and eventually winning awards, I now know what I am doing, phew. Which means I can now help others And if you are at the place where your food photos look a bit 'meh' or it's taking you ages to set up a shot as you are not sure where to start. Come join me...
