Food Technology Centre/ Canolfan Technoleg Bwyd

The Food Technology Centre (FTC) has been established since 1999 and plays a key role in transferring knowledge to the food industry in Wales, across the UK and internationally. We aim to further develop Wales and the UK’s reputation for producing and manufacturing innovative food and drink that is of the highest quality. The FTC has dedicated resources which enable food businesses to access technical support, practical solutions, advice and guidance on areas which are key to business growth. The resources include dedicated processing halls for fresh meat, fish, dairy products and prepared foods; training room; product development test kitchen; analytical laboratory; and a video conference suite We provide a range of services to the food industry, including research and development, technical advice, knowledge transfer, a broad range of training opportunities to support individuals working at all levels within food businesses. We also offer advice on a wide range of food related subjects including food legislation, labelling, regulatory and technical issues. Sefydlwyd y Ganolfan Technoleg Bwyd (CTB) yn 1999 ac mae'n chwarae rôl allweddol o drosglwyddo gwybodaeth i'r diwydiant bwyd yng Nghymru ac ar draws y DU. Anelwn at ddatblygu enw da Cymru a'r DU am gynhyrchu bwyd a diod arloesol sydd o'r ansawdd uchaf. Mae'r cyfleusterau yma'n caniatáu i'r CTB ddarparu amrywiaeth o wasanaethau i'r diwydiant bwyd, yn cynnwys gwaith ymchwil a datblygu, cyngor technegol, trosglwyddiad technoleg a cyrsiau hyfforddi sydd wedi'u teilwra'n benodol i gleientiaid.
