"FORE" Business

This week saw the return of the "FORE" Business Nottingham Group for the February meeting at The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club 🏌️ Once again we had 20+ businesses booked on to network with other business owners ahead of enjoying a round of golf. We were on the Championship course and as always it was in excellent condition for the time of year with the full course open and not a temporary green in sight. What started out as a pretty windy morning turned into a very pleasant day for winter golf once it settled down ☀️ We were delighted to welcome eight visitors this month who were joining us from other "FORE" Business groups; Thank You to Mike Pagan Graham Chambers Rob Castleman Matthew Conway Jonathan Carlisle Brian Lawrence David Metcalf and Justin Widdop. Turning to the golf it was very tight at the top with four points separating the top six golfers. At 31 points was myself and David Metcalf. One point ahead of us were Mark Stevenson and Alex Clifford on 32 points. Just ahead of them was Brian Lawrence on 33 points. But pipping everyone to the top spot and taking the coveted red shirt and a sleeve of Pro V1’s was Justin Widdop who was visiting us from the Sheffield group with 34 points. Congratulations to Justin 🏆 Also up for grabs were three Nearest The Pin prizes: ⛳️ The first of which was on the 5th hole and was sponsored by Paul Dermody of Dermody Investments and won by Mark Stevenson who took home a bottle of wine. ⛳️ The second NTP on the 12th went to Justin Widdop who added to his prize haul for the day with another sleeve of balls courtesy of myself as sponsor for that hole. ⛳️ Finally the third NTP went to Christopher Jones for his excellent shot on the 14th who also received a sleeve of balls courtesy of Mark Stevenson All in all it was another excellent Fore Business meeting with the opportunity to network with like-minded business owners and enjoy a round of golf on a fantastic course in excellent condition for the time of year. 📆 Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 4th March when we will be on the Signature course. We are only on the Signature course three times in 2025 and won’t play that course again until August so It’s a great opportunity to try it out if you haven’t before.
