This morning we brought members of our Ambassador community together for a session on 'presentation skills and engaging young people' courtesy of David Brockway. We came away feeling that we'd all learnt something that would be helpful beyond volunteering in schools. Taking a holistic approach we discussed content, but also how it’s delivered and the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our Ambassadors play a vital role in helping young people learn about careers and the opportunities available to them in the future, and good presentation skills are essential to making sure students get the most out of their time with us. The 'Get Together' breakfast gathering also gave our Ambassadors a valuable chance to connect on a personal level, share experiences, and enjoy some tasty pastries and hot drinks in the stunning surroundings of Kettle's Yard in central Cambridge. A big thank you to those who had an extra early start this morning in order to join us - we appreciate your dedication! Ps. We also learned some 21st-century slang… needless to say, it was drip! Or did we just make it cringe?! 🤣 If you're interested in joining our diverse and inspiring community and enhancing your own skills whilst giving back in a way that makes a real difference to those who'll be doing your job in the future, DM Dawn Easby Thwaits or email deasby@formthefuture.org.uk #ambassador #volunteer #Cambridge Anne Bailey
