Celebrating #WorldArchitectureDay. 🌎🏗️ To mark the occasion, we’re presenting some of Foster + Partners’ completed projects from 2024. 1: Xiamen Airlines HQ, China Xiamen Airlines Headquarters tower is located at the heart of Xiamen Cross-strait Financial Centre Masterplan in the Eastern Huli District. The headquarters is part of a new complex designed by the practice, including an adjacent hotel tower and Xiamen Airlines Plaza, which is a new civic space for the city. 2-3: Gadigal and Barangaroo stations, Sydney Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project. This month marks the opening of the project’s City section, which runs from Chatswood to Sydenham. 4: Apple The Exchange TRX, Malaysia As the first Apple Store location in Malaysia, the design creates new visual and spatial connections between the mall’s central atrium and a rooftop park, which includes a lush tropical garden and a communal lawn that wraps around the store’s upper level. 5: Marseille Provence Airport Extension, France The new extension at Marseille Provence Airport welcomed its first passengers in June this year. The landmark project establishes an overall masterplan for the future by restoring the clarity of Fernand Pouillon’s original 1960s terminal and Richard Rogers' airside development. 6: Transamerica Pyramid Center, USA The biggest renovation in the building’s 50-year history, the project gives a new lease of life to one of the city’s most recognizable landmark towers and revitalizes the historic Transamerica Redwood Park at its base. 7: The Lana, UAE The Lana and The Lana Residences, Dorchester Collection is a luxury hotel and residential property commissioned by leading luxury real estate developer OMNIYAT and managed by Dorchester Collection. #Architecture #Design #Completion #WorldArchitecture #WorldArchitectureDay2024
