With 36% of job vacancies in areas where the UK faces skills shortages, it’s encouraging to see Skills England’s mission working to connect local government, businesses, training providers, and unions to address the skills needs of the next decade. However, many schools still predominantly guide students towards academic pathways. I think they could do more to signpost our children towards apprenticeships and vocational training, what do you think?
