I’m just about to start a 14-hour drive back from Dijon in France to Leeds in the UK after an incredible road trip across France and Switzerland with the family. With the family flying back (14 hours in a car with a 2-year-old sounded like hell 🤣), I’m gearing up for a solo journey. Starting Frankland Automation has been the most rewarding and challenging journey of my career. One thing I didn’t fully anticipate was how relentless it can be – there’s never really any “time off” when you’re running your own business. Last week, for the first time in 1.5 years, I took a real break and promised the two most important people in my life that I wouldn’t work. Some clients and candidates were understandably annoyed, but we all need time to recharge! Now I’m back, feeling refreshed and ready to dive in.
