For the first time ever, the Hospitality Hike experienced some terrible weather! But in our high-spirit fashion, we powered through, laughed at the hail stone smacking our ears and nearly getting blown off the side off a cliff. The pint at the end was certainly worth it! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our Freshwalks 10th Anniversary #Netwalking event. It was fantastic to welcome back so many old faces, a healthy dose of first-timers and the inevitable regulars as we retraced our steps out of Glossop from late August 2014. Hopefully, with a vibrant autumn programme ahead of us, some of you won't leave it so long till next time. Our "classic hikes" return to Disley at the end of this month (Friday 27 September). At 15km, with only 450m of ascent, a cafe stop, picnic stop and two pub stops, this full day experience sits at the leisurely end of this series. There'll certainly be none of the bog-hopping antics of Bleaklow. Here's to the next 10 years...

Freshwalks for women in New Mills is always a gorgeous one! The views are quite something. And bonus it's pretty flat and easy 4.5 mile circular walk. Ease yourself into autumn with this lovely friendly stroll. Freshwalks is networking that doesn't feel like networking. Nearly 60 people took to the hills to celebrate 10 years of Freshwalks on Friday! 🌿 It's been a decade of connection—connecting with others, with nature's beauty. Freshwalks offers time and space to breathe, really breathe, allowing the shoulders to drop and the internal chatter to quieten. It's a chance to blow the cobwebs away and truly relax as well as make some great connections and have plenty of giggle along the way. 😊 One of the best things to happen when I set up my business in 2015 was being invited to join this wonderful community. It's brought clients, partners, collaborators, and best of all... friends. Congratulations, Michael Di Paola! Here's to many more adventures. Credit to John Shinnick for the unflattering picture of me shoving a pie in my face. And to Vic Johnston for supplying said pie, and carting dozens of the pastry delights miles up a big hill all in the name of donations to Caritas Salford.

😊 Faces of Freshwalks 😊 Friday saw over 60 of us retrace the steps our first Freshwalk 10 yrs ago. Steps were stomped, laughs were loud and the obligitory pies courtesy of Vic Johnston and Littlewood Butchers all the more tasty in the fresh air. Thank you to all who made it, what a kick off to the Bank Holiday weekend 🙌 Time outdoors is not only fantastic for mind, body and soul, but is a far superior backdrop for making new connections and hearing new perspectives than that awkward float around a networking event.
