🔎 A follow up to the investigation we published earlier this month after we discovered that Amazon Alexa devices were providing users with false information and citing Full Fact. This time we've found out that Alexa has been giving *more* wrong answers based on debunked false claims—about mpox, the UN and more—and attributing them to fact checkers. https://lnkd.in/eDqufEp3

Full Fact has been listed as an industry leader by Google for our work using Gen AI to combat health misinformation. By combining AI with human expertise, we're enhancing the speed and efficiency of fact checking without compromising on accuracy.

More than a week since Keir Starmer's conference speech and still no data published to support his claim about a ‘23% increase’ in immigration returns. Without this, neither we nor the public can verify it. We’re calling for transparency. Data must be published in line with the Office for Statistics Regulation's guidelines to uphold trust and accountability.

Gen AI offers us a new approach to tackling the growing challenge of online health misinformation. We're delighted that the UK's independent news regulator Ipso has upheld a complaint we made over a misleading claim about migration data in a 2023 Daily Express comment article written by then-Conservative Party chairman Richard Holden. This ruling is a powerful signal to politicians and newspapers that they will be sanctioned if they fail to stop misleading information at source.
