Congratulations to EIT Food Accelerator Network alumnus Fieldwork Robotics for being featured in The Guardian, revealing its newest autonomous harvesting model, the Fieldworker 1.    This model has enhanced AI features to enable more accurate detections of berry ripeness and heightened picking speed, providing growers with an effective harvesting solution.    We are delighted to see Fieldwork Robotics' extraordinary progress over the last 18 months and their recent announcements on collaborations and partnerships with industry-leading companies like Costa Food Group.    This is a true testament to the hard work of the team, including David Fulton, Dr. Martin F. Stoelen Andrea P., Prof. Chris Fogwill, Carlos Tribuna, Chris Fernando Pulle, Dan Whitear, Joshua Smith, Josh McAteer, Michael Cousins, Tom Elsey, Alex Roy..., the quality of Fieldwork Robotics' products, and the effectiveness of their solutions, which solve a real-world problem for growers.

Fieldwork Robotics is pleased to reveal its newest autonomous harvesting model, the Fieldworker 1. The model has enhanced AI features that enable a more accurate detection of berry ripeness and heightened picking speed, providing growers with an effective harvesting solution that allows them to better manage their operating costs. Fieldwork has also established a collaboration with Costa Group, Australia’s leading producer of fresh fruit and vegetables. The agreement will see Fieldwork’s robots deployed for trials at Costa farms in Australia over the next 12 months and demonstrates continued interest from international customers operating in the company’s target markets. Rory recently graduated from Imperial College London with a Master’s degree in Design Engineering, where he focused on robotic development and designed robotic devices for repairing the UK's aging water network. Rory’s engineering experience extends to applications of mechanical and mechatronic engineering for agriculture – key knowledge for his new role at Fieldwork.
