🌟 Creating an Inclusive Classroom 🌟 Do: Embrace flexible seating! 🪑 Create ‘quiet’ and ‘co-working’ stations and let learners choose where they work best. Giving students, especially those with ADHD, some control over their environment can improve focus and comfort. Avoid: Public criticism. 🙅♂️ Disciplining students in front of their peers can lead to anxiety or more disruption. Instead, opt for a private chat after class to address any issues constructively. 📖 Behind the Scenes at Gaia Learning: Lower School English ✍️ This half-term, our Lower School students have been exploring dystopian fiction. Using scaffolded tasks, templates, and even ChatGPT, they’ve created characters, settings, plot outlines, and opening paragraphs. The unit wrapped up with students turning their ideas into Canva "Book Previews." 📚✨ We’re incredibly proud of their hard work! Students who previously had concerns about reading and writing produced amazing creations, showing motivation and confidence throughout the process. This project has been a fantastic confidence builder! 💪🌟 #GaiaLearning

💬 “I can’t do this” – familiar words in the chat from one of our learners during a lesson this week. But something was different. Despite typing those words, his mouse kept moving. He was trying! And soon, he nailed the task—a puzzle about his favourite topic, dinosaurs. Progress for neurodivergent learners often happens in ways others might not notice—like a moving cursor or a shift in chat engagement. These moments are huge, and we’re here to support every one of them. #GaiaLearning
