Team MLC hit the tracks once again at the GamesAid Karting Championship Final last week! We secured 13th place and scored the fastest lap of the entire race 🏎️🏁 A massive shoutout to everyone involved for helping GamesAid raise over £18k. What an incredible achievement for a great cause. We'll absolutely be racing again next year - hopefully with all our wheels intact this time…

GamesAid raised over £18k at this year’s karting tournament and it was an absolute blast! I’ve wanted to take part in something like this since I first entered a kart at age 11. Thanks GamesAid for an incredibly well run event and for the amazing work you do for chairties. I was in the pale yellow top with red balaclava under my helmet. We scored fastest lap of the race but came 13th this time round. Was a thrilling race! 🛞 Our first driver Kieran Ford had a wheel fall off! ⛽️ We misunderstood the fueling rule with a new kart and had to do an extra pit. We got stuck in the fuel traffic and it took 5 mins 😂 But we stuck at it and had the best time. Thanks to my racing teammates Kieran Ford Trevor Ford 🏎️ Also thanks to all the games industry’s karting community, so glad to know you and thanks for all the advice 🍻

The GamesAid Go Karting Final that took place yesterday at Whilton Mill was a success!! 🏁💚 An incredible £1,330 was raised for GamesAid during the Go Karting Championship Final, bringing the total fundraised with the championship to £18,267.20! This would have not been possible without every single team participating, and especially our amazing sponsors - main sponsor Sumo Group, and regional sponsors Criterion and Rebellion!

A slightly different approach to a typical work day for me yesterday. A charity cricket match for GamesAid, fantastically organised by Hiro Capital. Our team (the Pirates) came out with the victory after a competitive two matches. It felt amazing to be part of some team sports again and to reignite my love for the sport. To do it alongside some games industry professionals, further broadening my network was great. Not to mention the feeling of doing something charitable to support numerous children and young people worldwide. A fantastic day out and I look forward to participating again next year!
